Excellent product, and service!

I've installed two of these now.
The ability to conditionally program temperatures in your home while not present is so handy in a hot climate.
Melbourne Australia is a city where you still take your umbrella to work , evenwhen it's forecast to reach 40°c 8)))
Having the flexibility to adapt to Melbourne's weather feels like I'm cheating!

The 2nd Tado did not parse heating thru to Apple Home app and Igor updated things once I provided the information and everything updated without me having to reset anything. <- good code all round.
Well done Tado and Igor, I'll be recommending your products to others here in Australia at every opportunity.

Einfache Installation, tolle Steuerung

Ich habe mehrere Tado X Thermostaten in unserer Ferienwohnung installiert. So habe ich immer einen Überblick über das Heizverhalten und kann die Heizung passgenau fernsteuern, wenn die Wohnung nicht genutzt wird. Gerade Funktionen wie der Frostschutz sind extrem praktisch für das Einsatzszenario. Die Installation an den Heizkörpern war easy. Ich bin begeistert!

Heating where you need it

The Tado X system sends heat only to where you need it in your home. I live in a 3-storey Victorian semi-detached with no wall insulation. My old system had one thermostat for the entire house, so I would always end up with large differences in temperature throughout the house and typically not heating the bits that I wanted. With Tado, I can keep those unoccupied rooms at a reasonable cooler temperature while making the inhabited rooms warm and cosy. I can set separate temperature schedules for individual rooms for each day of the week and manually override whenever I want. The subscription automatically turns the radiator off when it detects an open window and turns all heating off when we leave the house, which I find worth it so I don’t have to do it manually.
I can’t say that I’ve saved money on my heating bills since installing Tado because my previous poor setup had me putting up with a cooler house to avoid heating unoccupied rooms. What Tado has allowed me to do is use the heat where it is needed and it’s made the house an altogether more comfortable place to live. I didn’t fit any TRVs to my bathroom radiators so they heat whenever any room calls for heat, so now they are always a comfortable temperature for taking a shower or that inconvenient night time visit to the W/C 😆
If I was to suggest an improvement it would be to allow multiple schedules to be created so that you could switch them around depending on where you’re at work as normal or on holiday at home when you don’t want to get up as early.
I highly recommend this system to anyone who thinks my previous predicament sounds familiar for their home.
